A seminar jointly organised by the Mediterranean Institute for Advanced Research (IMéRA) and the laboratory of high quality research [OT-Med->http://www.otmed.fr/] takes place on the 15th of April at the IMéRA (2 place le Verrier, 13004 Marseille – behind the Parc Longchamp) from 2pm to 5pm.
Three 40-minutes lectures will be given on the theme “climate change in urban systems: challenges, alternatives, uncertainties”, followed by discussions with the audience:
- Rémy Simonetti (University of Padua, Mediéval historian, Philosopher) : Can Historical data demonstrate climate change in the Middle Ages?;
- Hubert Mazurek (LPED, Geographer, Ecologist, MC3 network coordinator) : Major climate change issues of today’s urban systems ;
- Najet Aroua (IMéRA, Ecole Polytechnique of Architecture and Urban Development of Algiers, Architect, Urban planner, Member of the MC3 network) : Urban alternatives to face climate change.
